    4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Join us for cocktails with Billie Jo Herberger! A resident of Scottsdale for 46 years, Herberger has dedicated much of her life to health and fitness, the arts and being a visionary and philanthropist.

Billie Jo is the epitome of today's American woman. Her style and vitality are obvious, her intelligence and wit may surprise you. She is a master entertainer and has cultivated quiet elegance with a dash of whimsy to create magical moments for her family, friends and guests.

Herberger made a name for herself in the United States and Japan with the water aerobics system she developed. Author of books on the topic, she spent 12 years traveling to Japan to train Japanese teachers in her Wet and Wonderful Water Exercise system for use in Japan's upscale hotels and spas.

In the early 1990s, she met Judd Herberger through an introduction by his mother, the late arts maven and philanthropist Katherine "Kax" Kierland Herberger. The couple have been together since, and were married in 2009.

The couple support dozens of organizations which enhance the Valley, including Phoenix Theatre, Ballet Arizona, Valley Youth Theater, the Heart Ball, Release the Fear, KidsRead, Art Renaissance, Herberger Theater Center and ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

Meeting will be virtual via Crowdcast.  Guests are $20.00.

Program
Join us for our fourth pop-up hour series, an intergenerational discussion on women and money featuring IWFA member Sarah-Catherine Gutierrez, a national speaker, certified financial planner, and author, who will discuss her new book But First, Save 10: The One Simple Money Move That Will Change Your Life.

The book teaches women, especially those just entering the workforce, a simple money system that helps them design lives of true freedom. Gutierrez will lead a book discussion with three generations of women about their relationship with money: IWFA member Nancy DeLamar, her daughter Megan Schroeder, and her granddaughters Eleanor and Frances Schroeder (currently studying at Stanford).

They will discuss what has changed and what challenges remain, including normalizing women’s engagement in more open, frank money conversations, taking the lead with money, increasing the ability for women to retire with dignity, closing the women’s wage gap, and reducing financial strain from women stepping out of the workforce to become caregivers.

Gutierrez will also share lessons learned from the Save10 movement that she co-founded, which has already brought thousands of women together with the goal of encouraging women to commit to saving 10% for retirement.

Signed Copies: If you are interested in purchasing signed copies of the book ahead of the session, you can do so at https://www.etaliapress.com/new-products/butfirstsave10 (use code IWFA10 for 10% off with free shipping) or at Wordsworth Book Store in Little Rock, AR.
